About Us

Nandita is a Delhi girl — daughter of an Air Force officer, married young, with responsibilities that came early. But her family had jewellery in their blood. When they moved to Jaipur, she found herself in the one city in India where silver is still made the old way: by hand, in craft lanes, by karigars who have done this work for generations.

She wanted to build something of her own. And she saw what most customers couldn’t: that much of what was being sold as “silver jewellery” online was plated brass, low-grade alloys, pieces that would never pass a hallmarking test. Beautiful photographs hiding ordinary metal.

So she started Smith Jewels with a simple rule: only 925 sterling silver. No plating. No coating. Real silver all the way through. We hold a BIS certificate as a brand, and every piece carries the 925 hallmark — because that small stamp is the only honest proof that what you’re wearing is real.

Her son Aditya joined to solve the other half of the problem. They had their own workshop and production in Jaipur, karigars making extraordinary work — but no way to reach the women who would wear it. He built the technology and operations that connect our workshop directly to your door. No middlemen, no markups, no compromise on what’s inside.

Today, 41,000+ women across India wear our silver. Each piece is made in our Jaipur workshop, hallmarked 925, and built to be worn every single day.

She taught us what silver is. He built the bridge to you.

Solid. Jaipur. Yours.
